Publications Ethics and Malpractice Statement: These guidelines are based on COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors:
Authors' responsibilities: The authors need to provide an accurate and objective account of their intellectual work. They should also include relevant details and support them with references, particularly from recent literature, to enable others to replicate the work. Any fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are considered unethical and are not acceptable.
Authors must ensure that their research is not published in multiple journals or primary publications. They must write entirely original works. If authors have used the work or words of others, they must cite or quote the sources appropriately. Authors should acknowledge publications that have influenced their work. They must confirm that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere, submitted to another journal, or under review by another journal at the time of submission.
As a prerequisite for submitting a manuscript to our journal, all authors must agree to the criteria for authorship, which requires that all individuals who have made significant contributions to the work be listed as co-authors, and those who have participated in certain substantive aspects should be acknowledged.
The instructions to the authors also include the aforementioned statement on authorship criteria. Additionally, the corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have approved the final version of the article and have agreed to its submission for publication in the journal.
Authors need to inform the Editors about any conflicts of interest and funding sources. Additionally, authors must agree to the journal's double-blind peer review policy. In the event of significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work, authors should promptly notify the Journal editor to request retraction or correction of the manuscript.
Authors need to understand the meaning of plagiarism and the various types of plagiarism. To ensure ethical publishing, our policy mandates a plagiarism check before sending a paper for review. Any form of plagiarism is unacceptable and considered unethical behavior. When using a verbatim statement, it must be enclosed in double quotes and properly referenced.
No AI chatbot is an author. The authors should declare in the manuscript if chatbots or AI tools were used in the research planning, conduct, analysis, interpretation, manuscript drafting, or editing.
Reviewers' Responsibilities: Peer review plays a crucial role in improving the quality of manuscripts and assists editors in making editorial decisions. However, reviewers must adhere to specific guidelines to ensure the implementation of publication ethics. Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of all information provided for review. Using the authors' report or research to replicate the same or similar research is considered unethical, as the review process is a privileged responsibility.
Reviews should be conducted objectively, without any personal criticism of the author. Reviewers should provide comments on the originality of the manuscript and its usefulness to the scientific community. Additionally, they should highlight any relevant published work missed or improperly cited by the authors. If a reviewer has personal knowledge of a duplicate publication or submission, they should notify the editor.
Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest, no expertise or experience, or are not in the right condition to review at that time.
Reviewers should declare if they have utilized the help of their colleagues in the manuscript review. Also, if they have used any chatbots or AI tools, it should be declared in the review report.
Editors' Responsibilities: Editors hold complete responsibility and authority in accepting or rejecting an article based on its content and overall quality. When editing, editors should focus on improving the manuscript based on the authors' perspective and readers' expectations to ensure the highest possible quality of the papers and the integrity of the academic record. Editors should publish errata pages or make corrections when needed.
Editors must evaluate manuscripts based solely on their intellectual content and the paper's importance, originality, clarity, and relevance to the publication's scope. They should not make decisions based on the race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
The editors should maintain the confidentiality of all information about a submitted manuscript, except for the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial board, and publisher. They should know the research funding sources and ensure that all research material conforms to international ethical guidelines. They should not disclose the identity of reviewers.
Editors should avoid any conflict of interest with authors, reviewers, or any third party of interest. If any conflicts of interest arise, editors should ask other editors to review the manuscripts. If editors suspect any misconduct in a published or unpublished manuscript, they should follow COPE's guidelines to resolve the problem.
Competing Interests: It is required for Authors and Reviewers to disclose any potential conflict of interest they may have. If a manuscript is submitted by an editorial board member or their institute, it will be handled by a neutral editor and the concerned editor will not be involved in the decision-making review process.
Consent and Copyright Issues When authors submit a manuscript to the journal, they retain the copyright but also grant the journal the right of first publication. To ensure that the clinical material belonging to the patient is published with their informed consent, the authors are required to submit a Consent Form along with the manuscript. If the manuscript includes any copyrighted material, the authors must have obtained permission from the concerned authorities and disclosed it to the editors during the submission process. In such cases, a statement should be written as a caption regarding the permission of copyrighted material. Additionally, the authors may submit the permission as supplementary material during the submission process.
Licensing Policy: The Journal uses a Creative Commons license (CC-By), which allows the re-use of the content for educational purposes by acknowledging the author and journal. https://creativecommons.org/ licenses/by/4.0/
